Our client, a reputable financial institution is seeking a Compensation Specialist. This role assists with the day-to-day administration of the company’s compensation programs and is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll adjustments. The Compensation Specialist conducts job pricing activities to ensure that the company remains competitive in the marketplace to attract and retain top talent, participates in compensation surveys, and maintains the base compensation structure for the organization.

Job Duties

  • Conducts job pricing activities

  • Evaluates jobs for placement in the pay structure by reviewing job descriptions, analyzing market data, and reviewing similar positions internally

  • Maintains the base compensation structure and pay range assignments for internal positions

  • Conducts the annual review of benchmark positions to support the integrity of the base compensation structure

  • Actively participates in compensation surveys

  • Collaborates with management and HR colleagues on the development and maintenance of job descriptions

  • Assists with the day-to-day administration of the company’s compensation programs

  • Accurately processes payroll adjustments in accordance with the payroll processing schedule

  • Assists in the development and modification of related policies and procedures

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field

  • 3 – 5 years of compensation experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and both verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to hold a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in the completion daily work and projects

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

  • Strong understanding of Human Resources best practices

$75,000 - $95,000 SALARY + BENEFITS
